The TSSAO goal is to teach instructors how to become better instructors! Simply said, better instructors make better drivers which in turn makes our roads safer.
For the first time in Canadian history, the professional instructors who train Ontario’s truck drivers will have access to the world-leading Instructor Certification Program of the Commercial Vehicle Training Association (CVTA). The CVTA is the largest association representing commercial of professional truck driver training programs in the United States, and its programs were previously available only in the US.

TTSAO Basic Instructor Certification
The Commercial Vehicle Training Association offers this basic level of education for professional instructors. This is the entry level of training for CVTA certification and provides instructors with instruction tools to better serve their students.
This program is in collaboration with Pearson Education and delivers online self-paced instruction designed by professional educators. The curriculum is focused on providing instructors with appropriate knowledge in the areas of teaching adult students.

This level consists of 7 online courses and one course to verify professional instruction hours in the industry. The course titles are as follow:

TTSAO Finishing School Trainer Level 1
The Commercial Vehicle Training Association offers these courses to aid the development of motor carrier finishing school instructors. This is the first level of training for CVTA certification and provides Finishing School Instructors with the foundation to better instruct their drivers.
The curriculum is focused on providing Driver Trainers with tools and knowledge to become better instructors.
ABOUT CVTA’S FINISHING SCHOOL CERTIFICATION
CVTA’s Finishing School Instructor program is conducted in collaboration with Pearson Education and delivers online self-paced instruction designed by professional educators.
